Front Range Theatre
03:30-05:30 pm

Convenors: Roberta Johnson , HAO-NCAR Irfan Azeem, Univ. of Colorado

LTCS is an ongoing CEDAR working group that focuses on the mesosphere and lower thermosphere, encouraging coordinated collaborative investigations using a combination of observations and modeling efforts. This workshop will focus on observational and modeling results of LTCS and related campaigns and studies. Discussion topics include:

  1. Update on TIMED mission status and TIMED/CEDAR collaborative studies

  2. Wind and temperature shears in the MLT region

  3. Airglow variability

  4. MLT climatological studies

  5. Latitudinal and longitudinal variability of tides

  6. Geomagnetic activity effects on the MLT region

  7. Advances in Observational Techniques and Modeling of Lower Thermospheric Dynamics
