Exciting plans are underway for the 2001 CEDAR student workshop which occurs Sunday June 17 before the regular CEDAR meeting begins. For undergraduates and new graduate student participants, the workshop will have a two hour session before lunch focusing on general atmospheric and CEDAR facilities information. In the afternoon, the traditional presentations will be augmented with a panel discussion where students can ask questions ranging from the day's presentations to general questions about the field. The student social will again follow the afternoon workshop session.
This year's workshop theme is "Exploring the Mesosphere, Lower Thermosphere, and Ionosphere (MLTI) Region". The theme has been chosen to coincide with the launch of the TIMED satellite mission in the spring of 2001. The afternoon session will include general presentations on topics that the TIMED mission may investigate. The agenda follows.
