Scientific Officer, Dept of Applied Math, U of Sheffield, UK - due 26 July

The Scientific Officer will be responsible for the integrity and rational development of the Departments computing resources, together with their day-to-day operation and maintenance. Applicants should have experience of Unix- and Linux-based systems used in research and of work in a research environment, and be skilled in scientific computing. Opportunities to contribute to the Applied Mathematics teaching programme may be available for suitably qualified and interested applicants.
The Officer will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues in Applied Mathematics to provide computing support for their research. This post is available immediately.
