Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at MIT Haystack Obs - due 1 Feb

MIT Haystack Observatory invites undergraduate science, engineering and computer science students to apply for summer research positions. Supported areas of interest include atmospheric sciences, radio astronomy, and engineering. The observatory, located 40 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, is a research center engaged in radio astronomy, geodesy, atmospheric science, and instrumentation development for radiometry, interferometry, and radar systems.

The MIT Haystack REU program extends from June 5 to August 11, 2006. Support is provided by the National Science Foundation's REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) program. Women, minorities, and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate students eligible for this program must not have graduated prior to the start of the summer internship in June 2006.
