Post-doctoral Research Position at Penn State - due 16 Mar

Communications and Space Sciences Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus invites applications for a three year appointment as a Post-Doctoral Scholar in the field of gas discharge modeling. The successful applicant will conduct research on theory of thermal electron runaway phenomena and streamer discharges with applications to long laboratory sparks, lightning leaders, and transient luminous events in the middle atmosphere. A Ph.D., strong programming skills, and experience with development of numerical models of gas discharges are required.
