Director and Deputy jobs in Planetary Science at NASA HQ

From: James Green (James.Green@nasa.gov)

NASA is currently searching for a new Director and Deputy Director for the Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. I am currently the Acting Director while this search is being conducted. I have been in this job just a week and I can tell you, from first hand experience, that it is immensely important for the planetary science community to have a steady hand at the helm during these interesting times! These are fascinating and very rewarding jobs. ,p> The Director, Planetary Sciences Division (Vacancy # HQ06S0158) and the Deputy Director, Planetary Sciences Division (Vacancy # HQ06S0143) positions are being advertised at http://www.usajobs.com (simply enter the vacancy number as the "Keyword Search"). The deadline for application is now September 24, 2006.

I plan to be at the upcoming DPS and AGU meetings, making myself readily available to you for your comments and concerns on NASA's Planetary Science program. Please contact me if you have any questions about these two important job opportunities at NASA.
