Postdoc in CADI and SuperDARN at Univ. of Saskatchewan, Canada - due starting 1 Sep

The Institute of Space and Atmospheric Studies (ISAS) at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications from candidates interested in a Post Doctoral position in space physics. The scientific research primarily involves high latitude radio observations, using the polar network of CADI (Canadian Advanced Digital Ionosondes) ionosondes and the SuperDARN network of HF coherent radars. Topics of specific interest include gravity waves and the associated TIDs, and radio propagation studies, including the polarisation state of radio waves. Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required as other instruments, both ground-based and on satellites, will be used in the analysis where possible. Instruments from the Canadian GeoSpace Monitoring (CGSM) program and those from the upcoming ePOP (enhanced Polar Outflow Probe) satellite will be of particular interest.

The candidate must have recently completed a Ph.D. with a specialisation in the use of radars in space physics. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year; if progress is satisfactory, the position will be renewed for an additional year or more.

Please send a a cover letter with a statement of interests and experience, and a curriculum vitae including the names and addresses of three references by either email (PDF format) or regular post to:
