NSF Graduate Research Fellowships in Geosciences, Physics, and Astronomy - due Nov 9/7

The deadlines are approaching for National Science Foundation (NSF) 2006 Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) proposals. Fellowships are intended for individuals who are in the early stages of their graduate study in science, mathematics or engineering. The NSF will award approximately 1000 GRFP Fellowships for 2006. GRFP Fellows receive a $30,000 annual stipend and a $10,500 cost of education allowance. Fellowships are for three years. Applicants must have completed no more than twelve months of full-time graduate study and must be United States citizens or nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States.

Full Proposal Deadline: November 3, 2005 for Mathematical Sciences
Full Proposal Deadline: November 7, 2005 for Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy
Full Proposal Deadline: November 8, 2005 for Engineering
Full Proposal Deadline: November 9, 2005 for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), and Geosciences

The following deadlines apply to Supporting Application Materials: Official Academic Transcript(s) (Required) due by deadline for Field of Study. Reference Letters (Three Required) due December 31, 2005. GRE Subject and General Test Scores (Optional) due December 31, 2005.
