Faculty Position in Astronomy, Planetary Sci and Physics at ERAU, FL - due 01 Jan

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - College of Arts & Sciences Department of Physical Sciences

The Physical Sciences Department seeks individuals who have both teaching and applicable research experience and really enjoy teaching astronomy, astrophysics, and/or planetary science as well as introductory physics. This department serves the science foundation needs of the entire campus of approximately 4500 students. In addition we have the nation's largest undergraduate Engineering Physics program (~160), a new undergraduate program in Space Physics, and an MS in Space Science program. Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in astronomy/astrophysics, space physics, or physics and will be actively engaged in research. We hope to fill this position at the Assistant Professor level, however unusually well qualified mid-career applicants are welcome to apply. The position is open until filled, however we will begin reviewing applications by the first of the year (2006).
