Jobs at the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy, Brussels, Belgium

The Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (http://www.aeronomie.be/) is a Federal Belgian Scientific Institute, located in Brussels, that performs research on planetary atmospheres and magnetospheres.

In the framework of a major new project, named "Solar-Terrestrial Centre of Excellence", we are looking for several professionals to strengthen our team:

  • a team coordinator,
  • several scientists,
  • several IT-professionals.

The scientists are expected to do first-class theoretical and/or observational research in heliospheric and magnetospheric physics and/or to engage in numerical modeling of plasma kinetic phenomena in order to support solar-terrestrial science activities at the Institute.

The IT-professionals are responsible for developing intelligent web interfaces that give access to scientific data and models, all in the framework of solar-terrestrial relations.

The coordinator must supervise the activities taking place in different teams of magnetospheric and atmospheric scientists, and must interface with other institutes involved in the project.
