Postdoc in Planetary Atmospheres at the Australian National University - reviews start 19 Sep
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering (RSPhysSE) in the area of photochemical and radiative transfer modeling of the Venus atmosphere. The primary responsibility of the appointee will be modeling the chemistry of the Venus middle atmosphere. This includes examining its recent evolution and interpreting data from the European Space Agency Venus Express mission. The incumbent will work with Dr. Frank Mills and will participate in the Oxford-based Venus Express multi-disciplinary science team and the rapidly expanding Planetary Science Institute at the ANU.
Applicants should have an earned PhD in a relevant physical science discipline. Skills and experience in numerical simulations, radiative transfer modeling, atmospheric chemistry, or chemical physics are highly desired. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are required.
