Positions in Space Science Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL - due Apr 30

Two tenure-track positions in Space Science at the Assistant Professor level will be available August 1, 2005 in the Physics Department (http://www.physics.aamu.edu). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Space Science, Physics, Aeronomy, or related area, and have at least two years of Post-Doctoral experience. The selected candidates will be required to conduct research in Solar Terrestrial Physics, with an emphasis in one position on space weather, teach graduate and undergraduate courses in space science, and teach general courses in physics. The candidates will be required to guide graduate students in the new Space Science degree program and expected to generate external funding to support that program. AAMU is currently a partner in the NSF- funded Center for Integrated Space Weather Modeling, and is collaborating with researchers at Marshall Space Flight Center under a NASA-funded program. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Applicants are requested to send a letter of application including Curriculum Vitae, and arrange for three letters o reference to be submitted by APRIL 30, 2005, to the Director of Human Resources, Office of Human Resources, Room-113 Patton Hall, P.O.
